Rationale
With rapid globalisation, there is a need for Singapore students to possess a global outlook and operate within a multi-national setting. Exposing our students to foreign culture is no longer sufficient. We need students to be immersed in local settings and have a better understanding of the culture and development of the countries they visit. Thus, Xinmin Bicultural Immersion & Exchange Programme will focus more on the immersion aspect of the programme, looking at understanding the socia-economic, political and educational development of the different cities or countries.

Objectives and Outcomes
The Xinmin Bicultural Immersion & Exchange Programme aims to achieve the following objectives: . Students to have an understanding of the socio-economic, political and educational situation of their host countries . Students to have a global outlook, and at the same time appreciate Singapore as their homeland . Students to have a better understanding and appreciation of different Asian cultures . To develop student leadership and instill national pride . To enhance bonding amongst students . To facilitate exchange of best practices in school management, teaching and learning methods, student programmes and school organisational structures.
