“Joining this programme really changed my life and perspectives significantly, and even my choice of career.”
Ivy Oh Class of 2010
Future Leaders in Xinmin (FLX) is a 4-year programme that aims to nurture a select group of high-achieving local students into thinking leaders who have Leading Hearts and Leading Minds. FLX culminates in a challenging and life-changing Overseas Service Learning Project in their 3rd year. Students take the lead in the planning stages, right from the canvassing of funds to the planning of programmes. Their leadership does not end there as our best students take charge of their younger team in their 4th year. Besides returning to revamp the reflection programme, they return to lead their peers overseas. After pioneering the Cambodian Project with Savong Orphanage in 2009, our students returned to serve in 2010 before moving on to a Chiang Mai Project in 2011.
