GCE N-Level
| Students in the Normal course follow either the Normal (Academic) or Normal (Technical) curriculum. |
Normal (Academic) course
In the Normal (Academic) course, students offer 6-8 subjects in the GCE ‘N’ Level examination. This includes compulsory subjects such as English Language, Mother Tongue and Mathematics. For upper secondary, Combined Humanities and a Science subject are also compulsory.
- GCE N-Level Exemptions
The school offers GCE N-Level exemption to Normal(Academic) students who perform well academically to progress to Sec 5 N(A) to take GCE O-Level Examination without taking GCE N-Level Examination. This will provide a more seamless transition from the ‘N’ to the ‘O’ Level curriculum for top students so that they can better pace their learning over five years and take part in broader learning experiences.
- GCE O-Level Subjects at Secondary 4
The school also offers GCE ‘O’ Level Mathematics and Mother Tongue (MT) at Secondary 4 to selected students who perform well.

Normal (Technical) course
In the Normal (Technical) course, students offer 5-7 subjects in the GCE ‘N’ Level examination. This curriculum prepares them for a technical-vocational education at the Institute of Technical Education. The curriculum is geared towards strengthening students’ proficiency in English and Mathematics. Students take English Language, Mathematics, Basic Mother Tongue and Computer Applications as compulsory subjects.
