P@X is a platform for parents to engage in and work towards Xinmin's Vision and Mission. It provides opportunities for parents to interact and share their experiences, services, time and participate in their child's educational joumey. The well organised activities promote bonding and lifelong leaming for both parents and students.
P@X sparked off their series of exciting events in 2008 with the Parenting Workshop on "Helping your Child Reach Maximum Potential". Other in-house sharing sessions included the Henna Painting and Cookery classes and Badminton sports as recreation. The Homecoming Day in April saw teachers and students making a beeline for the sumptuous food offered by P@X. Great getaways are a must in the P@X programme. They include kelong retreats in Bintan and adventures in P.Ubin. The Parent-Scholar Link Programme, an ongoing programme where parents "adopt" an overseas student to enable them to ease smoothly into the Singapore way of life was well received for the second running year. Our parents also actively involve themselves in Xinmin Library duties and Community Involvement Projects. They also offer themselves as volunteers and chaperons where needed.
In a nutshell, P@X in Xinmin has grown from its inception in 2002 and is now an integral feature in all major Xinmin activities.
